Metro Puerta del Sol in Madrid The Network of Metro de Madrid (Spain), was inaugurated on October 17, 1919 by King Alfonso XIII. As of August 2007 has 310 km of roads spread in twelve conventional lines, a branch and three Light Rail lines, traversed by 1,594 mobile units (1,059 motors and 535 trailers) that made 318 stops in 267 stations.

It is the most central Madrid subway station, located in the Centro district, in the emblematic Puerta del Sol due to its strategic position, is one of the busiest stations rating records.
